About the role
Depending on your proximity to Aflac offices in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this position may be hybrid or fully remote:
- Hybrid: If you live within 50 miles of Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, you will work in the office at least 60% of the workweek, with the remainder remote.
- Remote: If you live more than 50 miles away, you will work fully remote from your home within the continental US. Occasional in-office visits may be requested based on business needs and will be communicated in advance.

- Advanced experience with software configuration and modern programming languages
- Ability to troubleshoot challenging problems across platforms and hardware/software components
- Proven experience in Scrum and DevOps methodologies

Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 4+ years of experience in release practices, environments, or related areas
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred
- Any certification related to supported platforms
Responsibilities
- Provide support for architectural design and maintenance of platform environments (COTS, SaaS, ERP) with distributed components
- Ensure compliance with organizational requirements through policy implementation, auditing, and adherence to security standards
- Plan software upgrades, patching, and plugin installations in line with established policies and procedures
- Monitor performance, resolve problems, and manage component capacity issues
- Design, test, develop, configure, and maintain integrations for platform applications
- Adhere to platform security and coding standards for resilience, data protection, and security
- Review business requirements to deploy optimal solutions, including configuring, coding, and debugging
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate statuses and technical proposals
- Deploy and configure platform applications tailored to company needs
- Design technical solutions, customize, test, and maintain platform applications to meet company requirements
- Perform other duties as required
Pay
The salary range for this role is $95,000 - $145,000. Offers consider factors such as education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and peer compensation. This range reflects base salary only and does not include potential incentive pay or benefits.
