Platform DevOps Engineer
About the role
The DevSecOps Engineer at Booz Allen is responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions that meet client needs through the use of CI/CD tools, containerization, and IaC. They collaborate with teams to ensure solutions are built and delivered efficiently and securely.
Responsibilities
- Use CI/CD tools like Gitlab CI or Argo CD to automate software deployment processes.
- Containerize C++, C, or C# applications using Docker, Kubernetes, or EKS.
- Write and maintain .gitlab-ci.yml files and configure multi-stage pipelines.
- Integrate automated tests and security scans with C++, C, or C# builds.
- Manage build artifacts and support reproducible builds across different environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy software solutions.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience with CI/CD tools, including Gitlab CI or Argo CD.
- Experience with containerization including Docker, Kubernetes, or EKS.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) such as Helm, Terraform, or Ansible.
- Ability to containerize C++, C, or C# applications.
- Secret clearance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 1+ years of experience with software development, or 5+ years of experience with software development in lieu of a degree.
- Nice if you have: Experience with modern C++, C, C# development, front-end technologies, databases, cloud platforms, microservices, WebAssembly, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture.
Skills
- Linux shell scripting and automation.
- Knowledge of relational databases (RDMS), NoSQL, columnar, and graph data stores and structured and unstructured data formats.

Pay
The estimated annual salary range for this position is $61,900 to $141,000 (annualized USD).
Schedule
Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in Booz Allen’s benefit programs. Individuals that do not meet the threshold are only eligible for select offerings, not inclusive of health benefits.
