About the role

Start your career while saving lives by manufacturing blood and blood components that meet FDA requirements for safety, potency, and purity. This position involves successfully producing platelet products (PLAP) and includes paid on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

  • Manufacture pathogen-reduced platelet products (PLAP).
  • Ensure high-quality products that meet FDA requirements for safety, potency, and purity.
  • Inspect, verify, and label pathogen-reduced platelet products.
  • Provide sample platelet products for QC analysis.
  • Perform maintenance and quality control of equipment for pathogen-reduced platelets as appropriate.
  • Enter data of platelet products.
  • Seg blood/plasma components as determined by the lead.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, transcript, or GED.
  • Reliable transportation and working telephone.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly.
  • Flexible schedule.

Qualifications

  • No experience necessary.
  • Good communication skills and professional demeanor.
  • Dependable and punctual.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Organizational skills and dexterity.
  • Computer skills preferred.

Pay

$15.00–$20.00 an hour, based on education and/or experience, plus shift differential, holiday pay, a $500 bonus after 6 months, and a $1,000 bonus after 1 year.

Schedule

Sunday through Wednesday, 8:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. (night shift).
