Plastics Process Technician, 3rd shift

About the role

Responsible for increasing molding output and efficiencies by troubleshooting issues and developing new processes.

Responsibilities

• Functional knowledge of injection and blow molding machines.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing for capability issues, technical improvements, and daily processing activities.
• Operate auxiliary equipment to support molding operation such as mold temperature control units, grinders, robots, and pickers.
• Perform daily/weekly PM’s as assigned.
• Participate on teams to help achieve operational goals.
• Drive molding process improvements to include cycle time efficiencies, cavitation, scrap reduction, and establishment of optimal processing parameters.
• Support process improvement, reduction of downtime, cost reduction, and corrective action.
• Assist in the set-up, repair, and troubleshooting of molding equipment.
• Familiar with GMP and ISO guidelines.
• Establish the parameters for an optimal molding environment.
• Ensure the environment meets all safety requirements.
• Operate hot/cold runner molds.
• Assist in physical inventories.

Requirements

• Must have good work and attendance record.
• Experience with the installation and setup of tools into molding machines.
• Ability to problem solve machine systems and auxiliary equipment.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in plastics molding industry.
• Ability to work in a loud, manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to work extended shifts and weekends as necessary.
• High School/GED or equivalent education required.

Pay

$45,000-$60,000 per year.

Schedule

3rd Shift, 11pm-7am.
