Qualifications
- Duties: Set up, operation, processing, troubleshoot on injection machines and molds. Preparing machine for mold changeover and complete mold changes. Evaluate equipment condition and make necessary plans/adjustments in correspondence with the Plastics Engineer. Provide input on injection molding processes, programming, and equipment for the reduction of defects, overall process improvement, improved efficiency and/or the reduction of downtime. Audit molding machines to confirm part quality, ensure molding parameters are within approved tolerances. Thorough understanding of molds and molding machines. Report any mold repairs to the Plastics Engineer. Prepare mold for storage and upcoming production runs.
- Skills/Abilities: Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills. Ability to read and write English. Experience/Education: Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on plastics processing experience preferred. High School diploma preferred
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand, walk, push, bend, crawl, climb and/or squat for 10+ hours in a day. Must be able to lift up to 25-50 Ibs at a time. Regularly perform repetitive tasks Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to work in an office environment, including looking at screens for extended periods of time. Must be able to work in a manufacturing facility environment.
