Plastic Injection Mold Technician

Responsibilities

• Operate, load, and unload material and parts; prove programs, operate controls, set offsets, and inspect parts.
• Read and interpret drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished parts.
• Perform minor maintenance, repairs, and adjustments on machines.
• Take all needed precautions to maintain a safe working environment.
• Detect equipment malfunctions or out‑of‑tolerance machining and adjust machine controls to ensure part quality.
• Keep equipment and work area clean and organized.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment.
• Utilize additional processes as needed, such as cutting, drilling, sanding, grinding, shearing, sawing, bending, packaging, and tapping.
• Embrace changing requirements while encouraging innovative and swift approaches.
• Function effectively as a team player.
• Work a flexible schedule, including overtime, as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience operating plastics injection molding machines.
• Ability to handle repetitive lifting while using proper lifting techniques.
• Experience reading blueprints and adjusting machines to necessary settings.
• Ability to lift up to 50+ lb repeatedly.
• Ability to work overhead and stand continuously throughout the day.
• Proficiency in reading drawings and cutting parts to specification.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Schedule

Work schedule is flexible and may include overtime as needed.
