Plasma Operator
What you will do
- Complete daily work from a production schedule utilizing blueprints, standard work, and work instructions
- Accurately enter data into the MRP (e.g. SAP) system and ensure that inventory is accurately stated.
- Maintain quality throughout the process.
- Conduct daily preventative maintenance on machinery.
- Maintain stock control, pull items for orders, work in other departments, and complete other related duties as required to fulfill customer orders.
- Actively participate in facility 5S and Lean initiatives.
- Operate fork trucks and cranes while performing daily activities safely.
- Identify and implement safety improvements.
What You Need To Succeed
- A High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in a manufacturing and/or warehouse environment.
- Ability to setup and operate saws, brakes, shears, and other machining equipment (jib, Plasma CNC machine and Press brake).
- Ability to read and interpret standard blueprints and other engineered documentation.
- Ability to work effectively with torches, cutters, staplers, hand/pneumatic tools, and hand tools (hammers, torque wrench, crow bars, etc.).
- Ability to safely operate Jib and overhead cranes and safely operate a forklift.
- Ability to perform quality inspections on own work and the work of others based on set expectations.
- Ability to understand fractions, decimals, and measurement techniques.
- Ability to work overtime when required (some on weekends).

The Masstron Producing Organization (MTMS) designs, develops, and produces products within the METTLER TOLEDO Vehicle and Heavy Capacity product families and serves in direct support of the Vehicle Scale Strategic Business Unit which develops and implements the strategic direction of the global vehicle scale product line.
