Plant Maintenance/ Mechanic

About the role

Martin Marietta is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to safely and efficiently repair and maintain plant industrial equipment and machinery, including stationary machinery, mobile equipment, conveyor systems, shakers, pumps, gearboxes, aggregate plant processing equipment, and mobile equipment. This position involves preventative maintenance, fabrication, welding, and other shop or processing duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform fabrication, welding, cutting, greasing, housekeeping, and other shop or processing duties.
• Maximize equipment performance by conducting repairs and ensuring timely preventative maintenance.
• Perform simple and intermediate diagnostics and repairs without constant supervision.
• Utilize electrical and pressure testing equipment within company guidelines and safety standards.
• Complete required paperwork to maintain equipment and ensure plant operations meet company standards.
• Erect and repair processing equipment and mobile equipment.
• Conduct MSHA pre-shift safety inspections of equipment and work areas.
• Operate equipment such as loaders and haul trucks safely as needed.
• Aid in training co-workers as required.
• Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• One (1) year of experience in welding and maintenance.
• Experience in welding and maintenance in the mining industry (preferred).
• Welding certification (a plus).

Schedule

Hours are 6:30 am - 4:00 pm, including weekends and overtime as necessary.
