About the role

The Plant IV Curing Process Technician will control and monitor manufacturing processes and products, assist in the industrialization of processes and products, improve process efficiency and productivity, and reduce scrap IV while ensuring proper handling of Over Cure anomalies.

Responsibilities

  • Production / Quality / Efficiency Improvements
    • Implement processes that produce efficiently to the required output and to specification.
    • Implement and maintain processes that produce products to required quality objectives.
    • Product allocation and cycle optimization.
  • Projects
    • Implement corrective actions for achieving stable and capable processes.
    • Support LEAN manufacturing principle implementation.
    • Improve or stabilize process capability and efficiency.
    • Communicate with the BT1 team regarding processes, troubleshoot issues, and carry out problem-solving processes.
    • Complete projects and tasks assigned by the Department Manager.
  • Agreements/Reports/Documentation
    • Prepare and maintain process-related documentation, performance reports, guidelines, and charts.
    • Maintain archived records, reports, surveys, and justifications.
    • Implement specifications and Standard Operating Procedures and maintain them.
  • Health, Safety & Housekeeping
    • Ensure compliance with all EHS policies and procedures.
    • Maintain good housekeeping practices.
    • Support the 5S program.
  • Recipe Management
    • Maintain, optimize, and document recipes.
  • Process Excellence
    • Implement and maintain capable, efficient, and stable production processes that satisfy Process Excellence objectives.
    • Ensure process stability and implement process improvements.
    • Reduce process variation and direct corrective actions to reduce scrap.
  • Tasks
    • Follow POMS and Plant mandated procedures.
    • Achieve proficiency in Over Cure closure.
    • Monitor curing systems.
    • Use Continental manufacturing systems and PT 100 processes.
    • Ensure all ESH procedures, policies, and legal requirements are implemented and monitored.
    • Perform other duties as directed by the PLT Curing Supervisor, Lead Supervisor, or Department Manager.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED and 1 year of Continental Manufacturing experience or 2 years of mechanical experience.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required; no visa sponsorship is offered for this position.
  • No relocation assistance is offered for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous manufacturing experience or an Associate Degree.

Work Environment

  • Safety is the highest priority; safety procedures and guidelines must always be adhered to, including wearing hearing protection and steel-toe shoes.
  • New hires will likely be placed on a shift that includes evenings and weekends.
  • The job is in a non-climate-controlled environment with exposure to temperature swings (hot/cold), forklift and pedestrian traffic, and noise.
  • Majority of work is completed in a high-heat environment.
  • The role involves physical tasks such as lifting, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and operating machinery, with comprehensive training provided.

Pay

The starting annual salary for this role is $64,613 a year. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
