About the role
Manage an assigned territory of residential and commercial properties, providing integrated Plant Health Care (PHC) and Pest Management treatments.
Responsibilities
- Complete daily assigned work in a timely, efficient manner
- Build professional and trusting relationships with clients
- Prepare truck daily by ensuring proper product selection and promotional materials
- Diagnose and treat a variety of common issues related to ornamental trees and shrubs
- Recommend treatments to clients to improve overall health of trees and shrubs
- Identify issues related to other Joshua Tree Experts provided services
- Provide excellent customer service to new and existing clients
- Operate all assigned equipment in a safe manner
- Complete daily truck inspections and identify needed maintenance services
- Perform basic maintenance to vehicles and equipment; notify Department Supervisor of needed repairs beyond technician capabilities
- Comply with all safety rules and regulations regarding vehicles and equipment
- Complete all paperwork and product information accurately
- Meet or exceed daily production goals and performance goals as assigned by Department Supervisor
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver’s License
- Experience in plant health care application services (preferred)
- Pesticide Applicators License in CORE and CAT 6 (preferred)

- Excellent ability to be self-motivated and driven
- Strong communication skills
- Strong organizational and efficiency skills
- Ability to utilize plant health care equipment including spray rig, backpack sprayer, air spade, and other arboriculture equipment
- Ability to identify and diagnose ornamental tree and shrub issues
- Ability to identify hazardous situations
Schedule
- Must be able to work 40 hours per week
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends, if necessary
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs at one time, repeatedly throughout the day
- Must be able to bend, stoop, and walk up steep hills while pushing or dragging equipment
