About the role
At Niagara, we're seeking a Plant Engineering Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on engineering and project management. This role involves overseeing the design, construction, maintenance, and repair of plant equipment and machinery, as well as developing and implementing monitoring systems to ensure the health of maintenance equipment.
Responsibilities
- Routine facility maintenance duties including plant electrical infrastructure, chilled water systems, HVAC and air exchange systems, facility structural maintenance, compressed air systems, and water farm systems.
- Developing and coordinating preventative maintenance systems through in-plant labor and outside services.
- Managing technicians as assigned to accomplish engineering department tasks.
- Maintaining product water and mineral injection systems, filtration, CIP tasks, ozone, filler sanitation, batching support, and other tasks as needed.
- Assisting with corporate projects and data collection initiatives.
- Executing plant task assignments in areas needing evaluation and corrective action.
- Driving cost-saving projects and other initiatives as assigned to support company strategies.
- Ensuring overall plant safety, advocating for team member safety, and driving continuous improvement in safety behaviors, environment, and culture.
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in a similar position.
- Minimum 6 years of experience managing people and projects.
- Preferred qualifications include 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, 10+ years of experience in a similar position, and 10+ years of experience managing people and projects.
