Plant Accounting Specialist I

About the role

The accounting specialist will join the finance team at Lear's Wentzville, MO plant. The role involves producing timely and accurate financial analysis and reports for a Just-In-Time (JIT) manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll along with all other payroll reporting and follow up responsibilities
• Daily labor KPI analysis and reporting
• Month-end Journal Entry preparation and Reconciliation and analysis of assigned General Ledger Accounts
• Collaborate with HR & Operations teams for Payroll data, as necessary
• Cross train in other areas of accounting to act as backup (Accounts Payable, etc.)
• Other administration, projects and duties as assigned
• Aid with Sarbanes-Oxley auditing requirements

Requirements

• Four-year degree in accounting or related field
• At least 1 year of accounting experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
• Initiative and ability to handle multiple responsibilities
• Adaptable and able to perform in a fast-paced and changing environment
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Experience with Kronos Payroll Software, Coupa, SAP, and AS400 is a plus
