Plant 1- CNC Supervisor

Essential Duties

  • Responsible for programming and operation of CNC routing including bid costing.
  • Ensure an established preventative maintenance program for all Plant 1 CNC’s are up to date.
  • Coordinate with the Maintenance Supervisor and the Manufacturing Manager for the scheduling of the preventative maintenance of the CNC’s.
  • In the absence of the Maintenance Personnel, be able to perform the required preventative maintenance at the CNC’s.
  • Identify and correct any CNC concerns, such as spindle head location-rehome, broken knives.
  • Contact KOMO.
  • Attend any CNC related training opportunities.
  • Affirm with Maintenance in ensuring that the CNC dust collection systems are protected from damage.
  • Affirm with Maintenance in performing regular maintenance of air compressors.
  • Assist in the review of all routings and recommend changes to the Manufacturing Manager as necessary.
  • Assist with production office paperwork processes.
  • Be able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds independently and if required lift up to 100 pounds with assistance.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s license with excellent driving record.
  • Possess ability to maintain flexible schedule to meet the demands of the department, i.e. overtime.
  • Ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to listen to what is said and act upon it appropriately.
  • Ability to use tact and empathy in dealing with people of varied backgrounds.
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment and plan and organize workload.
  • Some computer proficiency.
  • Accepts responsibility and demonstrates leadership.
  • Able to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Supervisory experience a plus.
  • Troubleshooting/repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and air logic breakdowns of equipment and facilities experience preferred.
  • Experience with CNC operations and programming required.

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes and airborne particles.
  • The noise level is usually moderate but occasionally loud.
  • Use of Personal Protective Equipment such as vinyl or latex gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection will be required as needed.
