Planner Scheduler - Sprout
About the role
The Planner Scheduler – Sprout is responsible for materials and production functions, planning, scheduling, and approving product releases to production planning systems based on material and capacity availability.
Responsibilities
- Validate and confirm orders based on available capacity (materials, labor, equipment), ensuring feasible production commitments.
- Develop and manage production plans (short- and long-term, including MPS/forecasts), upload data into systems, and coordinate closely with purchasing and cross-functional teams.
- Maintain production plans, monitor execution, proactively resolve deviations (material shortages, design changes, backlogs), and reschedule as needed.
- Ensure data and system accuracy (BOM, routings, inventory, WO’s, demand signals) and support clean-to-build analysis, ECO tracking, and replanning activities.
- Control inventory levels and performance metrics, addressing discrepancies and driving KPIs aligned to CSD, lead time, response time, and inventory goals.
- Collaborate across supply chain and operations (SCM, Master Scheduling, Order Desk, CFTs), support customer programs, provide guidance on priorities, and drive continuous process improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 1+ years of Production Planning experience.
- Strong capability in production planning & forecasting, ensuring accurate demand alignment.
- Solid understanding of inventory control and supply chain management, with proficiency in MRP or ERP systems.
- Microsoft Excel proficiency.
Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in production planning and scheduling.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
