Plaintiff Personal Injury Attorney
Job Summary
A well-established plaintiff-side personal injury law firm is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Attorney to join its team. This is an opportunity for an attorney who is comfortable handling significant injury matters, taking ownership of cases, and advocating for clients through litigation and resolution.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will have a strong plaintiff personal injury background and the ability to independently manage cases while working alongside an experienced team of attorneys and legal professionals.
Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of plaintiff personal injury matters from intake through resolution
- Handle significant injury and wrongful death cases
- Develop case strategy and evaluate liability, damages, and potential recovery
- Conduct and defend depositions
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation documents
- Negotiate with opposing counsel and insurance carriers
- Participate in mediations and settlement discussions
- Prepare cases for trial and participate in trial proceedings
- Work directly with clients, experts, medical providers, and other case professionals
- Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to develop strong case strategies
- Maintain consistent communication with clients throughout the life of their cases
Requirements
- Active Washington State Bar license in good standing
- 5+ years of plaintiff personal injury experience
- Strong experience handling litigated personal injury matters
- Experience with significant or catastrophic injury and/or wrongful death cases
- Comfortable independently managing a caseload
- Strong deposition, negotiation, and motion practice experience
- Trial experience strongly preferred
- Excellent written, verbal, and client communication skills
- Strong judgment and ability to develop case strategy independently
- Able to work effectively in a collaborative plaintiff-side environment
Qualifications
- Law degree from an accredited institution
- Admitted to practice law in Washington State
