About The Role
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Plaintiff Personal Injury Attorney with 3-7 years of experience to join our growing team in Chicago. This is a high-impact, trial-focused position offering significant hands-on experience and the opportunity to manage a robust caseload while developing strong litigation skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a high-volume caseload of personal injury matters from inception through pre-trial stages
- Conduct case investigations, evaluate liability and damages, and develop case strategy
- Draft and respond to pleadings, discovery, and motions
- Take and defend depositions, including plaintiffs, defendants, and expert witnesses
- Negotiate settlements with insurance carriers and opposing counsel
- Prepare cases thoroughly for trial, including pre-trial motions, mediation, and trial strategy
- Collaborate with support staff and other attorneys to ensure efficient case handling
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Licensed and in good standing with the Illinois Bar
- 3-7 years of experience in plaintiff personal injury law
- Proven ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently
- Strong experience handling cases from intake through pre-trial preparation
- Trial experience is not required, but candidates must be comfortable preparing cases up to trial
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
