PK4 Assistant Teacher
About the role
This position serves as a Preschool Teacher Assistant at ISP Preschool. The role supports teachers in the instructional process and provides a safe, positive learning environment for students.
Responsibilities
- Adapt classroom activities, assignments, and materials to support and reinforce classroom goals and objectives.
- Assist with classroom assignments to support teachers in the instructional process.
- Assist students, individually or in small groups, with lesson assignments to practice and reinforce learning concepts.
- Maintain classroom equipment, work area, and records to ensure item availability and meet mandated requirements.
- Monitor individual and/or group students in various settings to provide a safe and positive learning environment.
- Perform general tasks to help the teacher prepare instructional materials.
- Report observations and incidents to appropriate personnel.
- Attend meetings and in-service presentations to acquire and convey information relevant to job functions.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
The successful candidate must have a High School Diploma. Familiarity with and adherence to Type II state regulations, school policies, and procedures, emergency drills, and safeguarding guidelines are essential. All employees are required to undergo federal criminal background checks, drug testing upon hire, and participate in E-Verify.
