About the role

Join our dynamic team as a Full-Time Teacher Assistant in Clifton Springs, where every day brings a new adventure! This on-site position allows you to engage directly with young learners, fostering their curiosity and creativity in a fun and energetic environment. The starting pay ranges from $16 to $20 per hour, rewarding your passion and dedication to education.

Responsibilities

• Engage in structured routines and nurturing care to foster the growth and development of young learners.
• Assist with engaging learning and play activities, from circle time to small group interactions.
• Promote social-emotional growth in a safe environment.
• Support children through meal and rest times, including assisting with snack and lunch, guiding bathroom breaks, and helping them settle down for their rest period.
• Facilitate end-of-day routines, communicate with families, and reset the classroom for the following day.

Requirements

• Understand early childhood development principles, OCFS regulations, and Quality Stars standards.
• Familiarity with positive behavior guidance and effective classroom management.
• Adherence to health and safety protocols, including toileting and hygiene procedures.
• Respect and hygiene skills when assisting with potty training and changing soiled clothing.
• Show patience, empathy, and emotional regulation, particularly in high-demand settings.
• Ability to follow daily routines and support transitions smoothly.
• Collaborative and flexible in working across classroom roles.
• Able to accurately document incidents, behaviors, and developmental observations.
• Physical stamina to lift, bend, and actively engage with children throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Education background in early childhood development or related field.
• Experience in a similar role or relevant childcare experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
