Pittsburgh - Labor & Employment Associate (Mid-Level)
About the role
The Labor & Employment practice group at Reed Smith is seeking a mid-level associate with three to five years of experience to join our Pittsburgh office. The ideal candidate will have experience in employment litigation and/or commercial litigation, including single plaintiff cases. Experience with wage and hour class actions is a plus. Familiarity with Federal Court Rules and E-Discovery is required.
Responsibilities
- Handle multiple cases, including supervision of junior associates and staff
- Act as the point person for litigation, managing cases from start to finish
- Prepare and present legal arguments in court, including depositions and trials
- Provide employment advice and counseling to clients
- Manage projects and meet deadlines effectively
Requirements
- Excellent writing and analytical skills
- Experience handling multiple cases
- Ability to manage and supervise junior associates and staff
- Experience with deposition and courtroom procedures
- Experience with wage and hour class actions
- Familiarity with Federal Court Rules and E-Discovery
Qualifications
- JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school
- Admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania
- Three to five years of relevant experience
