About the role

AECOM is seeking a Pipeline Mapper for our Houston, TX location. This role involves performing both routine and non-routine drafting assignments, scaling and editing tasks using computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) software to meet deadlines. You will digitize or trace sketches and concepts from designers using CADD software such as AutoCAD or MicroStation.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine drafting assignments using CADD software.
• Scale and edit assignments to achieve set results and deadlines.
• Digitize or trace sketches or concepts from designers using CADD software (e.g., AutoCAD or MicroStation).
• Create IFB/IFC pipeline alignment sheet plan and profile drawings on Civil3D.
• Develop pipeline typical drawings and permit drawings.
• Work with civil survey data for pipeline design and mapping.

Requirements

• BA/BS + 2 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• 2+ years of experience creating IFB/IFC pipeline alignment sheet plan and profile drawings on Civil3D.
• 2+ years of experience creating pipeline typical drawings and permit drawings.
• 2+ years of experience working with civil survey data for pipeline design/mapping.

Qualifications

• Experience creating map templates and sheet frames.
• Familiarity with data shortcuts.
• Experience creating and editing surfaces and surface profiles.
• Ability to read survey points and point groups.
• Experience working with offset alignments.
• Experience creating KMZs, exporting shapefiles, and handling XREFs and large base files.
• Familiarity with BlueSky Skyline pipeline software, BlueBeam PDF software, ArcGIS Pro, and Global Mapper.

Pay

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $61,000 to $105,000 yearly.
