Job Summary

Pipefitter Helper assists in the layout, assembly, and installation of piping systems by accurately positioning, aligning, and securing components.

Responsibilities

  • Holds, positions, and measures tape to assist in layout.
  • Plays and moves equipment and materials.
  • Positions and turns clamps; screws, bolts, and hammers parts together; uses tools and equipment properly and only if certified (as required).
  • Transports and furnishes the mechanic with materials, tools, and supplies.
  • Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment; ensures that tools, equipment, and materials are stored properly and securely.
  • Performs other routine duties.
  • Complies with company policies and procedures, especially safety rules.
  • Ability to inspect tools.

Qualifications

  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Positive attitude and keeps a good morale on-site.
  • Has Hand tools to perform the task.
  • Osha 10 Certification.

Work Environment

The employee may frequently lift, carry, or move items weighing up to 50 pounds and may occasionally lift or move heavier items up to 100 pounds, with the ability to carry items for extended periods of time as needed.
