Pipefitter

About the role

Maintains, fabricates, installs, repairs and/or replaces, cleans and tests the facility piping, valves, heat exchangers, and safety relief systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, fabricates, installs, repairs and/or replaces facility piping, valves, heat exchangers, and safety relief systems
• Operates high-pressure waterblasting machines
• Tests, repairs, and calibrates facility relief valves
• Utilizes electric, air, and hydraulically driven tools and equipment
• Uses cutting equipment
• Rigs for lifting equipment
• Cleans up work area following completion of assigned job task and properly disposes of waste materials
• Returns tools and equipment to normal storage area

Requirements

• Minimum four years of industrial pipefitting experience for primary skill
• Attainment of qualifying skills in two additional maintenance crafts sufficient to assist other craftsmen in performance of their duties
