Pipefitter

Archer Western, a member of the Walsh Group, is seeking a Pipefitter for the WEGA/WB Casey WWRF Biosolids project in Jonesboro, GA.

The Pipefitter will assemble, install, and replace pipe systems and related components including metal, plastic, ceramic, and composite materials, as well as install plumbing fixtures. Responsibilities

• Assembles and installs piping and tubing systems that conduct water, steam, air, and other fluids, solids, or gases in and around buildings and structures.
• Installs vacuum piping systems, drainage, and sewage lines (laterals) from buildings to the point of attachment.
• Handles and moves materials and equipment used by plumbers, pipefitters, and steamfitters.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of verifiable experience preferred.
• Experience working with piping systems and fixtures; adequate knowledge of lengths and construction measurements for use of tools and machinery.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; may be required to work in adverse weather conditions.
• Ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly.
• Strong work ethic and desire to learn.
• Good manual dexterity; may involve standing, bending, kneeling, or sitting for long periods.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
