Pipefitter

CCI Mechanical, LLC is expanding its workforce and is seeking an experienced and skilled Pipefitter with a strong background in hydronic piping systems. This position is located in Northwest Florida and will report to our Holt, FL office.

About the role

This position entails supporting mechanical and construction projects through various tasks, including the installation of hydronic piping systems, selection and fitting of valves and controls, pressure testing, troubleshooting and repair, and routine maintenance. The pipefitter will also support project teams by interpreting technical drawings, collaborating with other trades, and ensuring compliance with all safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Installing hydronic piping systems according to blueprints, specifications, and building codes
• Selecting and installing appropriate pipe fittings, valves, and controls to regulate fluid flow
• Conducting pressure tests and inspections to verify the integrity of the installed systems
• Diagnosing issues, developing solutions, and performing repairs on existing systems
• Performing routine maintenance tasks to ensure the optimal performance of hydronic systems
• Working with other trades and professionals on construction and maintenance projects
• Adhering to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment

Requirements

• 10 years of experience with hydronic piping layout and fabrication
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Ability to diagnose and resolve problems in hydronic systems
• Ability to effectively communicate with colleagues, clients, and other professionals

Preferred Qualifications

• HVAC piping experience
• Boiler experience
• Knowledge of chillers

Additional Requirements

• Pass a pre-employment drug screening (post accepted offer)
• Acceptable background check results
• If applicable to the contract, obtain appropriate clearance levels required and be able to access military installations

• Routine lifting of up to 35 pounds
• Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times, including hard hats, steel-toed boots, eye protection, respiratory protection, and hearing protection
• Maintain a constant state of mental alertness

Working Conditions

• Job is performed in a combination of office and outdoor site locations
• Office setting includes exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse
• Outdoor settings include walking, driving, and carrying supplies throughout all seasons with exposure to heat and cold conditions, and potentially wildlife
• Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise
