Pipefitter

About the role
As a Pipefitter at Archer Mechanical, you will plan, lay out, and perform all types of pipe fitting and fabrication work in accordance with applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Read and understand blueprints, schematics, and detailed drawings to determine pipe type, size, and layout.
- Accurately measure, cut, and bend pipes to specified dimensions using hand and power tools.
- Assemble and install piping systems, ensuring proper alignment and support.
- Work with PVC, copper pipe, groove pipe, and other materials.
- Lay out, cut, assemble, and install pipe systems.
- Install related equipment such as valves, supports, hangers, and hydraulic systems.
- Test installed systems for leaks and other issues using pressure gauges and testing equipment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain and clean tools and equipment to ensure good working condition.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, including plumbers, welders, and electricians, for seamless project completion.
Requirements
- Previous pipefitting experience.
- Certifications or licenses are a plus.
- Self-motivated with strong time management, organization, and task management skills.
- Proficient in clear and effective communication with contractors, vendors, sub-trades, and management.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing project needs.
