Pipefitter

A Pipefitter is needed to perform skilled pipefitting work at a foremen level, providing pipefitting and fabrication services for specialized equipment in the maintenance, repair, and installation of piping systems.
Responsibilities
- Read blueprints and drawings to determine specifications for installations.
- Install and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures.
- Determine water supply networks and draining systems.
- Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to required angles.
- Perform routine maintenance.
- Review jobs prior to work assignments.
- Build estimates for work to be completed.
- Study building plans and working drawings to determine work aids required and sequence of installations.
- Inspect structure to ascertain obstructions to be avoided to prevent weakening of structure resulting from installation of pipes.
- Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings.
- Test completed work and make necessary adjustments.
- Make periodic inspections of systems for safe and efficient operation.
- Maintain work logs.
- Use various power and hand tools efficiently.
- Maintain storage areas.
- May supervise others on major installations and job repairs.

Skills/Experience
Skilled pipefitter with plumbing/piping systems and fabrication experience. Installation and modification experience at a foreman level. Need minimum 7+ years of related experience or equivalent knowledge gained through formal state determined education.
Other Qualifications: Valid driver's license in good standing.
