Pipefitter

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for a Pipefitter supporting TOS II at Arnold AFB in Tullahoma, TN. The selected candidate must be available to work any shift, with shift determination based on work priorities.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work under general supervision, performing troubleshooting and repair of high-pressure and complex piping systems using blueprints, drawings, or sketches. This role involves setting up and operating all tools and equipment common to the trade, with participation in functional-specific safety training.

Responsibilities

• Locates and positions pipes and fittings
• Measures and cuts pipes
• Cuts threads with pipe dies and stocks
• Fabricates complex pipe work of all types
• Installs, modifies, repairs, and maintains piping systems and sprinkler systems for carrying air, gas, steam, water, sewage, drainage, oil, fuels, and other liquids or gases
• Makes flange, bell and spigot, screw, and ring connections
• Installs valves
• Paints, coats, insulates, or waterproofs pipes when minor repairs or alterations are made
• Performs burning and tack welding and other duties as required
• Wears PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Four (4) years of progressive pipefitting experience, which may have been as an apprentice in the trade
• Must successfully complete and maintain Welder Performance Qualification tests in accordance with ASME Section IX (2-3/4” diameter x 5/8” thick carbon steel pipe, 1/8” GTAW (ER70S-2) open butt root, remainder SMAW (E7018), Position 6G; evaluated by radiography)
• Valid State Driver’s License
• Ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to understand, give, and take directions
• Current United States Citizenship
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance and access to the AEDC local area network

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic and/or Advanced Rigging Training
• Active Secret clearance

Pay

Starting hourly rate: $38.44 - $42.71
