Responsibilities

  • Perform daily preventative maintenance of all piping systems.
  • Installs, assembles, replaces, and miscellaneous piping throughout facility.
  • The ability to select the correct size, the type of pipe and related material according to job specifications.
  • Follow welding procedure specifications and perform welding jobs that are assigned.
  • Read blueprints and perform material takeoffs.
  • Inspect work site to determine presence of obstructions.
  • Plan sequence of installation.
  • Installs, bends, cuts, threads, and fabricates pipe to particular requirements for the job.
  • Starts up and shuts down equipment in line with company safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
  • Maintains the workload and schedule for the facility daily to adjust for changes in work requirements.
  • Assumes other activities and responsibilities from time to time as directed.

Requirements

  • Experience as a welding fabricator in manufacturing or related fields.
  • Welding certification is a plus.
  • A high school diploma or GED required; technical training or certifications preferred.
  • 2–3 years of experience in a continuous manufacturing environment; chemical manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, and respond to callouts as required to support continuous manufacturing operations.
  • Knowledge of preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance practices.
  • Ability to read and follow technical documentation, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to safety and quality standards.
  • Must be capable of wearing and utilizing Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) Or negative pressure respirator.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-based environment.

Qualifications

  • Must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including a physical examination, functional capacity assessment, and drug screening.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during scheduled shifts.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, climb stairs, and perform repetitive motions.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures, humidity levels, and manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to wear required PPE for extended periods.

Skills

  • Welding certification.
  • Technical training or certifications preferred.
  • Experience in continuous manufacturing, particularly in chemical manufacturing.
  • Ability to read and follow technical documentation, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to safety and quality standards.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to wear and utilize SCBA or negative pressure respirator.
