Essential Functions

• Coordinating construction work according to priorities and plans.
• Plan, organize and lead grading crew.
• Producing schedules and monitor attendance of crew.
• Allocating general and daily responsibilities.
• Covering tasks according to priorities and plans.
• Scheduling aggregate material quantities and deliveries.
• Determining trucking needs and scheduling trucks.
• Allocating general and daily responsibilities.
• Supervising and training workers and tradespeople.
• Ensuring labor and other resources are adequate.
• Guaranteeing all safety precautions and quality standards are met.
• Supervising the use of machinery and equipment.
• Monitoring expenditure and ensuring it remains within budget.
• Resolving problems when they arise.
• Reporting on progress to managers, engineers, etc.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

• This is a full-time position.
• Normal days and hours of work are Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., with time provided for lunch, hours may vary.
• Work may be local or out of town in which case overnight stays are required.
• This position frequently requires long hours and weekend work.
• Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.

Required Education And Experience

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a construction foreman.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a construction foreman.
• Preferred: Diploma in a skilled trade (electrician, carpenter, etc.).
