PINELLAS COUNTY (FLORIDA) JJM SITE DIRECTOR

About the role

The Ministry Site Director is responsible for leading and developing a team that engages young people in the juvenile justice system through relational ministry actions. The role involves spiritual and organizational leadership, working with and through other people, and fostering a team that embodies YFC's Cultural Attributes.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, and maintain volunteer ministry leader team in accordance with the processes found in the Knowledge Base
• Build a healthy and mutually beneficial relationship with facility leaders and local court officials
• Provide training materials and ministry site standards for ministry leaders
• Develop healthy 3 Story teams for each ministry site
• Establish necessary support and guidelines to ensure healthy and growing ministry at all sites
• Be an advocate in the community for young people
• Report progress and ministry updates to YFC
• Weekly practice of the JJM relational ministry actions (RMAs): Contacting, Building Times, Appointments, Aftercare, Programming
• Engaging a network of personal relationships (family, friends) to support the YFC Mission by contributing their time, talent and treasure
• Communication with giving partners - thank you notes, monthly letters, etc.
• Participating in chapter fundraising events
• Ministry and financial reports (weekly ministry reports, etc.)
• Attendance at and preparation for meetings, events, clubs, etc
• Participate in annual Employee Performance Evaluation
• Regular supervisory connection and other personal/professional development opportunities

Spiritual Responsibilities

• Teach and preach from the Holy Bible at YFC staff meetings, conferences, camps and events
• Model empathy, humility and care for all people. This includes promoting equity and inclusion in word and in the practice of faith expression

Qualifications

• Preferred Bachelor’s Degree
• Three years of relational ministry experience
