About the role
The successful candidate will manage a dedicated team at a 380-sow indoor breeding unit producing finished pigs. This modern, recently refurbished farm features adaptive farrowing accommodation and automatic dry feeding systems.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve the strong performance of the breeding unit.
- Manage a dedicated team of farmers and support staff.
- Ensure efficient operation of the farm's facilities and processes.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with and managing livestock.
- Strong motivation and a drive for continuous improvement.
- Excellent team leadership and organizational skills.
- Passion for farming and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Competent IT skills, including the MS Excel package.
