PICC Team Nurse
About the Role
As a PICC Team Registered Nurse (RN), you will deliver compassionate, high-quality care that impacts patients' well-being and recovery. You will be responsible for the assessment, insertion, maintenance, and removal of Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters (PICCs) and Midline catheters in various patient populations, including adult, pediatric, and neonatal (depending on the facility).
This role requires advanced knowledge of vascular anatomy, sterile technique, infection prevention, patient education, and troubleshooting related to central line access devices. You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, effective, and evidence-based vascular access care.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arkansas, upon hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - CPR certification, within 30 days of hire
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, within 12 months of hire
- Vascular Access Board Certified (VA-BC) credential preferred or commitment to obtain within 1-2 years of hire
- Minimum of 2-3 years of recent acute care nursing experience (Critical Care, ED, Medical/Surgical, Oncology)
- 1-2 years of direct PICC insertion experience utilizing ultrasound guidance strongly preferred
