Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care within the RN scope
- Monitor and report patient symptoms
- Interpret diagnostic tests and modify treatment plans
- Coordinate with the healthcare team
- Educate patients and families on care and discharge instructions
- Serve as charge nurse when needed, ensuring quality care, staff assignments, and acting as a clinical resource
- Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment
- Participate in performance improvement activities
Qualifications & Skills
- Valid RN license (compact or Tennessee)
- Current BLS
- PALS within 6 months
- At least 1 year of RN experience
- Pediatric ICU, adult ICU, or pediatric experience preferred
- Strong communication, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills
Key Duties
- Monitoring patient conditions
- Ordering and evaluating tests
- Adjusting care plans
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Instructing patients and families
