About the role

The U.S. Army DEVCOM Army Research Laboratory (ARL), located in Adelphi, MD, is seeking Postdoctoral Fellows interested in the physics of wide and ultra-wide bandgap (UWBG) semiconductor electronic and optoelectronic devices.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research using a wide variety of experimental capabilities, including optical spectroscopy, growth of III-nitride materials, high power electronic and UV-optoelectronic devices, and semiconductor theory and device modeling.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team as well as with academic and industrial research groups.

Requirements

The U.S. Citizen only. Must have a Doctoral Degree and either a Doctoral Degree (Postdoctoral Fellow) or Doctoral Degree 5+ years (Senior Fellow).

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Physics, Chemistry and Materials Sciences, Communications and Graphics Design, Computer, Information, and Data Sciences, Earth and Geosciences, Engineering, Life Health and Medical Sciences, Mathematics and Statistics, or related field.

Skills

Must have expertise in the physics of wide and ultra-wide bandgap semiconductor electronic and optoelectronic devices, including optical spectroscopy, growth of III-nitride materials, high power electronic and UV-optoelectronic devices, and semiconductor theory and device modeling.

Salary is commensurate with experience.
