About the role
The researcher will employ ultrafast spectroscopy to study electronic carrier dynamics and thermal transport in Wide and Ultra-wide Bandgap Semiconductors. Specific areas of focus include:
- Underlying mechanisms of carrier thermalization
- Radiative and nonradiative recombination
- Nonequilibrium transport
- Thermal transport properties in heterostructures
Responsibilities
Develop and conduct experiments using ultrafast laser sources and pump-probe metrology techniques.
Requirements
Prior experience with ultrafast laser sources and pump-probe metrology techniques is desired.
Qualifications
Ph.D. in Physics, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Skills
Strong background in semiconductor physics, ultrafast spectroscopy, and materials characterization.
