Physician Recruiter

About the role

This position is responsible for recruiting physicians, physician extenders, and/or CRNAs. You will coordinate on-site candidate visits with local Chief Clinical Executive Officers (CCEOs) and their community physician recruiting teams, interact with external recruiting agencies engaged by ARH, and build relationships with university and college program leadership teams and program directors.

Responsibilities

• Recruit employed and non-employed physicians, physician extenders, and/or CRNAs for the ARH System and communities.
• Research potential recruitment opportunities, including national physician conferences and online recruitment portals (e.g., Practice Link, Practice Match).
• Review, evaluate, and screen applicants for professional positions.
• Assess candidates and determine suitability for employment with ARH, which may require evening and/or weekend availability for certain physicians/specialists.
• Perform reference and background investigations on all potential employees, ensuring they possess valid and current licenses and credentials.
• Compile and maintain listings of potential candidates by specialty and community.
• Plan and execute monthly events with local universities and colleges to educate potential candidates about ARH career opportunities.
• Attend outside recruitment functions, including setting up booths, making presentations, and distributing brochures.
• Prepare and maintain various required reports.
• Represent ARH professionally and positively per the ARH Professional Code of Conduct.
• Respond to medical students and residents in a timely fashion.
• Travel is required for this position.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Prior history in physician recruiting or hospital management/clinic experience preferred.

Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively (up to 75% of the time).
• Willingness to work after 5 pm during the week and on weekends.
