Physician - PM&R - PRN
About the role
Ochsner Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) physician for its inpatient rehabilitation facility in Lacombe, Louisiana. The position is at Northshore Rehabilitation Hospital, operated by Select Medical, a 30‑bed inpatient rehab hospital employing 90 therapists, nurses and other specialists. The hospital offers focused programs for brain or spinal cord injury, cardiac conditions, cancer rehabilitation, neurological disorders, orthopedic trauma, and stroke. Located in the Northshore region near Mandeville, Slidell and Covington, LA (just 30 miles from New Orleans), the area provides a family‑oriented, low‑cost‑of‑living setting with excellent parks, recreational programs, festivals, and a top‑ranked public school system.
Responsibilities
- Deliver long‑term acuity care and inpatient rehabilitation services.
- Work Monday‑Friday, 8 am – 4 pm.
- Participate in shared call 1:4 for 7‑10 days per month (including one weekend), being available by phone; no holiday call.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
