Physician - Pediatric Emergency Medicine

About the role

We are seeking board certified/board eligible physicians to join our Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Ochsner Medical Center and Ochsner Children’s Hospital. The position offers competitive fair market compensation plus benefits.

Responsibilities

• Work with patients every day or support those who do
• Assist with streamlined pediatric admissions and patient care
• Utilize Epic electronic health records integrating care across the system
• Facilitate seamless multi-hospital practice
• Available for consultation and easy one-call transfer from community emergency departments
• Support a region's leader in complex pediatric care with advanced programs in various fields
• Part of a comprehensive surgical subspecialty group and a comprehensive developmental pediatrics center
• Lead a teaching environment with medical students from Tulane University and the University of Queensland
• Contribute to research and lead multi-center studies and clinical trials
• Be part of a consistently ranked Top 50 Children’s Hospitals for Cardiology and Heart Surgery

Requirements

Must be board certified/board eligible in Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine.

Qualifications

• Experience in pediatric emergency medicine
• Strong clinical skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Skills

• Knowledge of Epic electronic health records
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Leadership and mentorship skills
