Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician
Job Summary
HCA Florida Kendall Hospital is seeking a board certified/eligible Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician Fellow to join their dynamic team. Qualified candidates must have completed Pediatric Emergency Medicine training, provide 24,000 Pediatric Emergency Department visits annually (pre-Covid), be Level I Trauma Center certified, and have completed an ACGME Emergency Medicine residency.
About the Role
The Pediatric Emergency Department consists of 12 beds and receives 18-24 hours of physician coverage daily. There is also a 12-bed Pediatric Unit and a Level III NICU/PICU. The department uses EMR systems such as Meditech, Pdoc, and dragon dictation.
Responsibilities
- Treat pediatric patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in the emergency department
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development opportunities
- Contribute to research initiatives related to pediatric emergency medicine
Requirements
- Board Certified/Eligible in Pediatric Emergency Medicine
- Completed ACGME Emergency Medicine residency
- Experience in Level I Trauma Center care
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Qualifications
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Current license to practice medicine in the state of Florida
- Passing scores on all required exams
