Physician Pediatric Emergency Medicine
About the role
Join a team of 4 fellowship-trained Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) physicians, 22 Emergency Medicine (EM) physicians, and 6 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
BE/BC required; PEM-trained or pediatrics and EM dual-trained candidates welcome.
This is the only pediatric emergency medicine program in the Dakotas.
Opportunity for clinical and academic involvement, including EM residency collaboration.
AirMed transport program with fixed-wing aircraft and helicopter support.
Competitive compensation with sign-on incentive and night differential.
Epic EMR with a newly opened dedicated pediatric emergency department wing.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to pediatric patients presenting to the emergency department.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in clinical research and teaching activities.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of the pediatric emergency department.
Requirements
- BE/BC in Emergency Medicine or Pediatrics.
- Fellowship training in Pediatric Emergency Medicine preferred.
- Pediatrics and EM dual-training considered.
Qualifications
- Strong clinical skills and ability to manage complex pediatric cases.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Skills
- Knowledge of pediatric anatomy and physiology.
- Experience with pediatric emergency care protocols.
- Proficiency in Epic EMR system.
