Physician - Orthopedic Surgery Sports Medicine Fellowship Trained - Duluth, MN
About the role
Licensed to practice orthopedic surgery with a focus on sports medicine. Join a collaborative team of 14 orthopedic surgeons and 12 NP/PAs, covering a wide range of sub-specialties. Work alongside 10 fellowship-trained primary care sports medicine physicians. Perform elective surgeries at state-of-the-art facilities, including an outpatient hospital and ambulatory surgery center. Engage in community sports medicine initiatives, including partnerships with local high schools, colleges, and organizations like the Minnesota Ballet. Participate in mass events such as the Grandma’s Marathon.
Responsibilities
- Perform hip arthroscopy and other orthopedic procedures
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care
- Participate in community sports medicine initiatives
- Engage in mass events such as the Grandma’s Marathon
- Support a balanced call schedule with approximately 30 call nights per year
- Utilize advanced technology through the EPIC Electronic Health Record system
Requirements
- Board certified/eligible in Orthopedics
- Fellowship in Sports Medicine
- Expertise in Hip Arthroscopy
Qualifications
Qualified candidates should have a strong commitment to patient care and a passion for sports medicine. Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center is preferred.
Skills
Strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and a collaborative approach are essential. Proficiency in using the EPIC Electronic Health Record system is required.
