About the role
The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine is seeking a dynamic and accomplished board-certified/board-eligible cardiologist physician/physician scientist to serve as Section Director of General Cardiology and lead an elite team of academic general cardiologists at the associate or full professor rank.
Responsibilities
- Provides senior leadership for the clinical, academic, operational, and strategic direction of the General Cardiology program.
- Advances high-quality patient care, faculty development, education, research, program growth, and multidisciplinary collaboration across the cardiovascular enterprise.
- Focuses on expanding the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular patients to support robust inpatient and outpatient programs in a world-class facility at the Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital and The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
Requirements
- Board Eligible/Certified
- Successful completion of a US accredited Cardiovascular Medicine fellowship
- Minimum of 5–10 years of clinical experience in cardiology
- Eligible for an Ohio license
- Clinical or translational research experience preferred
- Qualify for an academic appointment at The Ohio State University
Qualifications
- A Doctor of Medicine (MD), doctorate (PhD) or other terminal degree in the relevant field
- Principal career focus is the delivery of exemplary clinical care, and may include teaching, and/or research
