Physician Office - FT - LPN - McLeod Plaza Family Medicine

Responsibilities

• Affords assistance to the physician in assessing patient needs.
• Executes direct patient care tasks, including but not limited to triage, assessment, procedures, treatments, patient education, discharge, and follow-up instructions.
• Prepares patients for physician visits and documents pertinent information in the patient’s medical record.
• Carries out specialized tests and administers medications and injections as directed by the physician.
• Assists with treatments and procedures as needed and educates patients about their conditions.
• Schedules testing and referral appointments for patients and handles patient calls for consultations.
• Maintains examination rooms, equipment, and supplies according to OSHA standards.
• Monitors and orders medical supplies, and collaborates with drug representatives.
• Participates in quality assurance projects and promotes the practice mission and philosophy.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Computer skills are required.
