Physician Office - FT-LPN - McLeod Plaza Family Medicine - Florence

Responsibilities

• Affords assistance to the physician in assessing patient needs.
• Executes direct patient care tasks, including triage, assessment, procedures, treatments, patient education, discharge, and follow-up instructions.
• Prepares patients for physician consultations.
• Collects pertinent information from patient and family, conducts physical exams, and documents findings in the patient’s chart.
• Carries out specialized tests and administers medications and injections as directed.
• Assists with treatments and procedures under the supervision of the physician.
• Provides patient education and addresses concerns via phone calls.
• Schedules testing and referral appointments as instructed by the physician.
• Maintains examination rooms, cleans instruments, and ensures proper functioning of equipment.
• Monitors medical supply inventory, updates expiration dates, and manages waste disposal.
• Orders medical supplies and interacts with pharmaceutical representatives.
• Develops expertise in using various medical equipment.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Computer skills required.

Requirements

• Licensed Practical Nurse certification.
