Physician Office - FT-LPN - McLeod Plaza Family Medicine - Florence
Responsibilities
- Affords assistance to the physician in assessing patient needs.
- Executes direct patient care tasks, including triage, assessment, procedures, treatments, patient education, discharge, and follow-up instructions.
- Prepares patients for physician consultations.
- Collects pertinent information from patient and family, conducts physical exams, and documents findings in the patient’s chart.
- Carries out specialized tests and administers medications and injections as directed.
- Assists with treatments and procedures under the supervision of the physician.
- Provides patient education and addresses concerns via phone calls.
- Schedules testing and referral appointments as instructed by the physician.
- Maintains examination rooms, cleans instruments, and ensures proper functioning of equipment.
- Monitors medical supply inventory, updates expiration dates, and manages waste disposal.
- Orders medical supplies and interacts with pharmaceutical representatives.
- Develops expertise in using various medical equipment.
Qualifications
- Basic Life Support certification required within 90 days of hire.
- Computer skills required.
Requirements
- Licensed Practical Nurse certification.
