Physician Office - FT - LPN - Dillon Family Medicine

Responsibilities

• Affords assistance to the physician in assessing patient needs.
• Executes direct patient care tasks, including triage, assessment, procedures, treatments, patient education, discharge and follow-up instructions.
• Prepares patients for physician consultation and documents collected information in the patient’s medical record.
• Carries out specialized tests and administers medications and injections as directed.
• Assists in treatment and procedure processes as needed.
• Provides patient education tailored to individual circumstances.
• Schedules testing and referral appointments for patients as instructed by the physician.
• Communicates with patients via phone, addressing issues or referring calls to the physician.
• Follows up with patients as necessary.
• Cleans and organizes examination rooms, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards.
• Maintains medical supply inventory, checks medication expiration dates, and manages equipment.
• Orders medical supplies and interacts with pharmaceutical representatives.
• Develops and maintains proficiency in using all necessary medical equipment.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Computer skills are required.
