Physician Office - FT - LPN - Palmetto Adult Medicine
Responsibilities
- Affords assistance to the physician in assessing patient needs.
- Carries out direct patient care tasks, including triage, assessments, treatments, patient education, discharge instructions, and follow-up.
- Prepares patients for physician visits, formulates initial databases, and documents pertinent information in patient charts.
- Executes specialized tests and administers medications and injections as directed by the physician.
- Assists with treatments and procedures, provides patient education, schedules testing and referrals, and handles patient consultations.
- Cleans and organizes examination rooms, maintains equipment, and reports malfunctions to the office manager.
- Maintains medical supply inventory, ensures drug and vaccine expiration dates, and orders supplies.
- Develops and updates knowledge of necessary medical equipment.
- Promotes a supportive learning environment, performs chart audits, and participates in quality assurance projects.
- Supports the practice mission and philosophy, projects a positive image, and performs additional duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Basic Life Support certification required within 90 days of hire.
- Computer skills required.

- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
