Physician - OBGYN Faculty
Position Summary
The Physician Faculty-OBGYN is responsible for both the education of Family Medicine fellows & residents and the delivery of high-quality OBGYN care to a panel of patients. This physician must be proficient in the delivery of care in both outpatient and inpatient settings. As an educator, this physician must be a model of professionalism and an excellent mentor to residents. This physician must be a master adaptive learner and must model this in their practice of medicine. This physician will be proficient across the full scope of OBGYN. The Physician Faculty-OBGYN’s time will be split between providing direct patient care and teaching & curricular work.
Responsibilities
- Ensures comprehensive OBGYN care for a patient panel, including risk assessment, pre- and post-natal care, management of labor & delivery, and surgical procedures
- Diagnoses and treats acute and chronic conditions using evidence-based guidelines
- Refers to specialists appropriately
- Participates in hospital rounding and clinic coverage for colleagues per departmental guidelines
- Participates in after-hours call coverage and labor deck coverage per departmental guidance
- Timely and accurate documentation, inclusive of direct patient encounters and asynchronous care
- Leads a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care
- Trains and mentors fellows & residents in both outpatient and inpatient settings
- Works with other faculty to develop program curriculum
- Works collaboratively with team members to create a culture of excellence, professionalism, and scholarly focus
- Engages in individual and team scholarly activities
Requirements
- Unrestricted Washington State medical license by the time of employment
- Board certified/eligible in OBGYN
- DEA, NPI, and state prescriptive authority by the time of employment
- At least 1 yr experience teaching in a residency/fellowship environment (GME) or other medical teaching environment (UME) preferred
- Clinically active in OBGYN preferred
- Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association

Pay and Benefit Expectations
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $462,221.00 - $462,221.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
