About the role
This opportunity is designed for an OB/GYN physician seeking meaningful women’s healthcare work without the unpredictable demands of a traditional hospital-based practice. Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM No nights No weekends No holidays No deliveries No operating-room responsibilities No inpatient rounding 100% outpatient care Predictable weekday schedule Multiple outpatient locations throughout Hillsborough County
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient women’s healthcare, including well-woman examinations, acute visits, reproductive care, and family-planning services
- Deliver evidence-based outpatient obstetrical care to low- and moderate-risk patients
- Perform contraception counseling and perform LARC insertion and removal
- Diagnose and manage common gynecologic concerns
- Provide perimenopausal and menopausal care
- Order, review, and interpret laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic testing
- Maintain complete, accurate, and timely electronic health record documentation
- Complete billing and clinical tasks in accordance with organizational requirements
- Participate in peer review, quality-improvement initiatives, and accreditation-readiness activities
- Provide clinical guidance and support to nursing staff and medical assistants
- Practice at multiple outpatient TFHC locations when operationally necessary
- Comply with HIPAA, federal, state, accreditation, HRSA, and TFHC requirements
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited OB/GYN residency program
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Active or eligible Florida medical license
- Active or eligible DEA registration
- Certified Basic Life Support
- Outpatient OB/GYN experience preferred
- Experience with Epic or another electronic health record system preferred
- Bilingual English and Spanish skills strongly preferred but not required
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, collaboration, and patient-education skills
- Commitment to providing respectful and compassionate care to diverse patient populations
