Physician-OB/GYN

Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby, Minnesota and Riverwood Healthcare Center in Aitkin, Minnesota are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible OB/GYN physician for a busy generalist practice within a physician-led, financially stable organization committed to high-quality patient care and patient satisfaction.

About the Role

This full-time position offers a 4-day work week with a mix of clinic, operating room, and labor and delivery coverage. Call is 1:4, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• 24/7 anesthesia support
• Experienced L&D nursing team
• Large, modern LDRP rooms (labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum) with jet tubs
• Nitrous oxide available for laboring patients
• 3 DaVinci robots shared between the two hospitals (CRMC Crosby and Riverwood Health in Aitkin)
• Women’s Health nurse practitioner support in clinic and operating room as surgical assistants
• Support from senior, experienced partners
• Busy surgical practice with a minimum of ½ day per week surgical block time
• Electronic charting in EPIC

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in outpatient clinic, surgery/operating room, and Labor & Delivery settings
• Serve as a collaborative physician for several family medicine physicians who provide OB care and one certified nurse midwife
• Function as part of a care delivery team through efficient use of resources and skills
• Actively participate in a multidisciplinary team approach to patient care
• Utilize quality improvement tools to develop processes that promote continuous improvement in patient care, outcomes, and workflows

Requirements

• Medical Doctorate degree (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.)
• Current, unrestricted Minnesota medical license
• Board certified or board eligible in obstetrics and gynecology

The position is based in Crosby and Aitkin, Minnesota.

• Crosby-Ironton: A city of 3,000 residents, part of the Brainerd and Cuyuna Lakes Area in central Minnesota. Known for mountain biking, it is 15 miles from Brainerd, MN, and 2 hours from Minneapolis/St. Paul. The Brainerd Regional Airport (serviced by Delta Airlines) is 11 miles away.
• Aitkin: A city of approximately 2,000 residents, located 15 miles east of Crosby/Ironton. Known for its historic charm and outdoor recreation on the Mississippi River and nearby lakes. Approximately 2.5 hours north of Minneapolis/St. Paul, 20 miles from Brainerd Lakes Regional Airport, and 1 hour 45 minutes from Duluth.
