Physician - Gynecologic Oncology Surgeon

About the role

Ochsner Health in Lafayette is seeking a BC/BE fellowship-trained Gynecologic Oncology Surgeon to join their expanding multi-specialty group practice. The role involves working with a team of five physicians and participating in a multidisciplinary Tumor Board. Access to industry-sponsored and cooperative group trials is provided, along with support from larger referral centers in New Orleans.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive gynecologic oncology care to patients in southwest Louisiana
• Participate in a multidisciplinary Tumor Board
• Access to industry-sponsored and cooperative group trials
• Support from larger referral centers in New Orleans
• Enroll in clinical trials
• See patients at multiple locations including Ochsner Baptist, The Gayle and Tom Benson Cancer Center at OMC Jefferson Highway, Ochsner Cancer Center Baton Rouge, Chabert Medical Center in Houma, and the Ochsner St. Tammany Cancer Center
• Participate in telemedicine component

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have:

• A current, unrestricted medical license in Louisiana
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship
• Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Experience in gynecologic oncology surgery
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Pay

The salary range for this position is $250,000 - $350,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Schedule

The schedule for this role is typically Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend coverage as needed.
